1. "33" rule - we will go with 3 trades per season, with no more than 3 players involed per trade. When posting a trade, can the second member of the trade post their approval. It is mandatory that each player involved in a trade is listed with their OVR, AGE and years remaining on their contract. This is so that the trade committee can make an informed choice without having to do all the leg work. You want a trade done? You do the leg work.
i) During Rookie Draft however, you will be allowed to make unlimited pick for pick trades. These "draft day" Trades will not need to be Approved by the Trade Committee
2. Anyone 95 or higher cannot be traded during reg or preseason.
i) Rookies drafted in the first 4 rounds cannot be traded in their rookie seasons. This excludes CPU drafted rookies.
ii) Any free agent signing in the off season cannot be traded in the first season of their new contract. You sign free agents to help your team immediately, not to be used as trade bait when the draft rolls along.
3. No trades past the deadline. All trades must be approved by the trade committee members and any trade proposed after the trade deadline in the game will be voided.
4. All APPROVED trades must be done through the game using the submit trade offers menu. No sign and release method - this rule will be very very important to follow. Also, madden the in the past would not let you trade if the owner's team has already played a game that week. So coordinate with each other. Once a trade is APPROVED... it has to be completed.
5. All trades once/if approved will be finalized - when a trade is approved, each team will have to finish the transaction even if 1 owner wants to back out of it. Owners, you have until the magical vote of "3" to back out of trades. Post it in thread.
6. No trading Free Agent pickups - if you pick up a player off of the free agent list, you will not be able to trade him. The reason being is because a player that is picked up out of the free agent pool cannot be offered a contract extension and automatically will be in the bidding process during next year's free agency.
